The Good Companions Veterinary Clinic is a small animal practice seeing dogs, cats, rabbits, and a variety of smaller species. We pride ourselves on the compassion and empathy we offer our patients and their owners.
All staff are pet owners, hence we understand and sympathise with the feelings and concerns our clients have for their pets. We feel we build a close relationship between owner and vet, which improves the quality of care we can provide to your pet, and the support we can offer you during worrying and emotional times.

COVID 19 – updated :02-03-2022
Please read our Coronavirus update page before visiting the practice
If you have been developed Covid 19 within the last 5 days, please tell our staff know and please do not visit the practice
Can I come into the practice with my pet
Yes. One person per consultation can come into the practice to see the vet. We ask that a mask or face covering should be worn.
For euthanasia appointments two people can come in.
On arrival either come into the practice as normal.
If you would prefer not to come into the practice then let us know and the vet can discuss everything with you over the phone and bring just your pet inside for examination and treatment.
We can provide home visits for emergency cases where it is impossible/ unsafe to bring the animal to the surgery.
We now also have the capacity to do some home visits for planned euthanasia where this is felt to be in the pets best interest.
The pandemic has created unprecedented pressure on small animal vets. We are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to be able to continue to offer the services your pets need. Home visits require two or more members of staff to leave the practice for an extended period of time and therefore we can only currently offer home visits if there is no other possible alternative or for a planned euthanasia.
