FACILITIES

Our Facilities

  • Air conditioned for your comfort.
  • Fully equipped for a thorough examination, including ophthalmoscopy, video and direct otoscopy.
  • Thermal microchip reader.
  • Cats particularly can become anxious if they find themselves very close to a curious large dog.
  • Our separate cat and dog waiting rooms mean that cats waiting to see the vet can do so in a quiet environment without any canine friends sniffing at the door of their basket.
  • We can rapidly perform laboratory tests and get results quickly.
  • This is especially important for emergency cases.
  • We have biochemistry, haematology, urinalysis and microscopy facilities on site.
  • Sterile theatre is fully equipped for a wide variety of soft tissue and orthopaedic operations.
  • Anaesthetic monitoring equipment, to monitor: heart rate and rhythm, blood pressure and oxygen saturation in the bloodstream, while a pet is under anaesthetic.
  • Mono and bi-polar diathermy, to minimise any bleeding during an operation.
  • For pets that are having a day procedure or an overnight stay.
  • Cats are much happier when in hospital if they can be kept on a cat only ward, away from the sounds and smells of any dogs.
  • Likewise some dogs will find the presence of cats distracting and get agitated when in a kennel next to cats.
  • Our separate hospital wards means animals kept in hospital or recovering from an anaesthetic are in an appropriate stress free environment.
  • X-ray machine with modern “high resolution” digital X-ray processor so we can take the most detailed images possible.
  • Modern ultrasound machine to look at the soft tissues, especially of the heart and the abdomen.
  • Ultrasonic scaler for removal of plaque and tartar from teeth.
  • High-speed air-powered water-cooled drill, allows the removal of teeth with as little trauma as possible.
  • Low-speed polisher for smoothing of teeth after treatment.
